Common questions about accounts, API keys, auth emails, saved reports, and source-health expectations.

Account Emails

  • Confirmation email not arriving? Check your spam or promotions folder. The subject line will be "Confirm your Archivist account".
  • Confirmation link not working? Links expire after a limited time. If your link has expired, go to the sign-in page and request a new confirmation email.
  • Password reset email not arriving? Check spam. The subject is "Reset your Archivist password". Reset links expire and can only be used once.
  • Magic link email not arriving? Repeated requests may be rate-limited. Wait a moment before retrying. Check spam.
  • Getting emails you did not request? You can safely ignore them — no account action is taken unless you click the link.

Common Questions

  • Dashboard and account features require a configured backend. See the README for self-hosted setup instructions.
  • The Playground and public API endpoints work without an account or backend configuration.
  • If dashboard usage logs are not updating, check that your account backend is reachable and authenticated.
  • After changing environment variables, restart the server for changes to take effect.
  • API keys are shown once at creation. If you lose a key, revoke it from the Dashboard and create a new one.

Account Access and Plans

  • FREE tier is available now — create an account and generate an API key to get started.
  • PRO and BUSINESS tiers are planned. Submitting an access request does not automatically change your plan or charge you.
  • FULL report mode requires an eligible paid or manually granted plan. The Playground allows FULL mode without quota.
