1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Archivist ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Archivist provides source-aware GeoBriefs — automated location intelligence reports compiled from open data sources. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
3. Not an Emergency Authority
Archivist is not an official emergency authority. Reports are generated from open datasets that may be delayed, incomplete, modeled, or region-limited. Always verify with local official sources before making operational decisions. The Service does not replace official warning systems, emergency services, or professional risk assessment.
4. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
5. API Usage
API access is subject to rate limits and quota restrictions based on your plan tier. You agree not to attempt to circumvent rate limits, quotas, or access controls. API keys may be revoked at any time for violations of these terms.
6. Data and Sources
GeoBrief reports are compiled from third-party open data sources. Archivist does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of source data. Source attribution, methodology notes, and known limitations are included in each report where available.
7. Intellectual Property
The Archivist platform, including its software, interface design, report structure, and branding, is the intellectual property of its operators. Source data remains the property of the respective data providers and is used in accordance with their terms.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Archivist and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Service, including any decisions made based on GeoBrief reports.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
